Something odd
It's snowing! The euphoria of seeing snow for the first time in 3 years has given way to some foreboding about the massacre of tropical plants. This naturally occurring frozen water took me by surprise, completely unprepared. Even worse (for tropicals), it is sticking around and collecting!

Hi Muddy Mary....cute name. I actually would like some snow this year. But today, I had my AC on. I live in the foothills of NC and it's not suppose to be this warm. Humid too.
Ewwww, oh boy that would be heartbreaking! I know I'll never be a temperate gardener. I wouldn't want to see that. I hope everything survives!

Flowergardengirl, Well, the AC kicked on day before yesterday, then yesterday, snow. You can see why I was caught unawares. You just can't tell..You could be next!
Eric and Annie, It's strange but I don't think the plants noticed they had snow on them. Everyone seems to be okay.

I thought the snow was beautiful.
I am from NJ and miss it at times.
